Service Description

Did you know, sensory neurodivergent people are the majority of mental health clients? Learn more about this important population. Overview -- Learning Objectives: 1) Common traits of sensory neurodivergence (HSP/SPS, ADHD/ADD, and Autistics) 2) In-depth understanding of nervous systems' fight/flight/freeze responses 3) Nervous system challenges for sensory neurodivergent people 4) Best practices and solution-focused therapeutic interventions Logistics -- Training will occur weekly over Zoom starting Friday March 31st at 10am to 12pm. Materials -- You'll receive a PDF slideshow for each training session, along with digital psychoeducation handouts to use with your clients. You'll also receive a list of recommended reading and resources. Optional Consultation Group -- Join six 90-minute consultation sessions to integrate your learning with your clients. You'll also be invited to our consultation Facebook group for on-going support. Space is limited to 10 professionals per group. Section One starts Friday May 19th from 10am to 11:30am, every other week. Section Two starts Friday May 26th from 10am to 11:30am, every other week. Training Session Details -- For full training description, please email Phoenix at Training Requirements -- You must be a mental health master's program student or professional to take this training. CE Credits -- You'll receive 12 hours of CE credits upon completion of this training. You must attend all sessions and make up any missed sessions. (Pending final NASW approval)
